Every agent knows what door hangers are, but too few really make full use of them or realize their real value.
I order BLANK door hangers (you can go to a website like www.blank-doorhangers.com) so I can print them "on demand" from my color printer. This gives me total control by printing 2 or 2,000. In addition, I put the information for a listing I am selling and one I just sold with pictures.
Now here's what really helps. I contact a local business (say a pizza parlor) and tell them I will promote their business on my door hanger at NO COST to them providing they allow me to put a coupon of value printed on my door hanger.
This has a 3-fold purpose: - The homeowner saves the door hanger because it has a coupon that is useable in their neighborhood.
- The local business loves and passes my name along because I am generating him business as the locals come by to use the coupon.
- The locals now know and look forward to me as the Real Estate agent with coupons and welcome me into their neighborhood. What better way to get your name known. Another bonus: I walk off those extra pounds putting the door hangers on and get to meet people 1-on-1 who may become clients!!!
